I'm sure I would have heard every detail many times had there been one. Now the new weather station has been in place for a couple of weeks now, and I haven't heard of any problems. This is the only reason I have deducted 1 star. If that sounds like you, I might suggest an easier-to-use model. I will say that the interface is a little counter-intuitive, and so reading AND keeping the manual is highly recommended. The internal touch screen had icons, and the alarms have not gone off inappropriately. The external station was assembled and up in an hour. Now this new model has drastically improved things, both functionality wise and keeping marital bliss a little more likely.ĭespite my low standards, let's talk about this new one. There were NO diagrams in the manual that might indicate which button is where.
Oh, and the manual was only in French, and needed those pesky button icons. As you might imagine the accuracy was +-15 degrees, it spontaneously would set off alarms for no apparent reason, the icons on the buttons were not actually painted on the buttons, and the screen was failing. You see, the in-laws bought a $20 weather station in France. Now I should tell you that my reference point for a weather station very very low. I ordered this as a much-needed birthday gift for the weather-obsessed in-laws. 4 A nice weather station, that works very well.
